A new Food Network article was recently published - titled 50 States, 50 Burgersthat stated that the best burger in Kentucky is made at none other than W.W. Cousins right here in Louisville.  Now I love a cheeseburger just as much as the next guy, but I’ve never had the occasion to eat at W.W.’s.  Have you?  Here is how the article describes their masterpiece of a sandwich…

W.W. CousinsW.W. Cousins
900 Dupont Rd., Louisville
“Hamburger”
Some people can’t have enough options. This Louisville landmark is for them: At the center of the restaurant is a 40-item burger toppings bar that’s so complex, there’s a map above it to guide you to the tartar sauce, sliced green olives, parmesan and whatever else suits your fancy.

Well, what do you say Waterford Place?  Does W.W. Cousin’s really have the best burger in the entire state of Kentucky?  Surely there must be some other contenders out there.

Experience Asian culture this weekend

The 16th annual Asian Cultural Festival was held at the Speed Art museum this Saturday, May 22, from 12 to 4p.  Visitors will be able to experience the art, dancing and culture of different countries including Japan, China, India, Uzbekistan and others. All of the festivities are free to the public and if you feel the urge to try an asian dish or two, food will be offered outside along with outdoor activities.

“There’s really such a thriving Asian community here in Louisville and the surrounding area and it’s wonderful to see all of these people come together and have a great time and learn at about each other’s cultures,” said Kirsten Popp, Speed Art Museum.

It seems as if the world is becoming smaller.  For that reason, I like to to lurn as much about different cultures as I can. Festivals like these are a great way to do that.

HowRUDid you know that by taking time for yourself you are improving your health? It’s true. Just by taking time to watch your favorite TV show or listen to some music can help make your mood better.

It’s important to take time for yourself anyway. By unwinding at the end of the day (or the middle) you decrease the tension and this will allow you to be more relaxed. For more winter health tips click here.
